Olivia never thought she would run into Scott while looking for him. Was that not a delightful surprise? She liked this type of surprise.
Olivia’s smile widened, and her eyes gleamed in delight.
The chauffeur unloaded Scott’s luggage from the trunk and placed them down next to Scott.
Scott looked at Olivia emotionlessly. He turned and grabbed his luggage before walking into the airport.
Olivia watched as Scott walked toward her.
She had already taken a few steps forward. He should approach her too.
Scott went up to Olivia, maintaining about a step of distance between them. He stopped in his tracks and asked, “Why are you here?”
He looked and sounded as usual-emotionless.
Olivia smiled. “You’re here. Why can’t I be here?”
Olivia raised an eyebrow and smiled. “What? We’re friends. Is this how you treat one after not seeing each other for a long time?”
She could instantly feel that he was not happy. It was different from the past.
She could instantly feel th
Scott looked at her. “Look for Percy if you need anything.”
Scott was already in a collaboration with Carver Corporation. As the project developed, both parties would naturally need to work closer together. Unfortunately, Scott stationed his subordinates to handle it. The project was handled by Percy.
What he meant was that since Olivia was there about the project, she should look for Percy. She did not need to look for him.
Olivia understood what he meant. He was maintaining distance from her and also reminding her from time to time about where he stood with her.
This never changed, even after three years.
Olivia was hurt. No one was as heartless as him. No one could change his mind once he decided, even himself.
Nonetheless, Olivia would always get what she wanted. If he did not want her close to him, she would find a way to be close to him.
The smile on her face vanished for a split second before snapping back to normalcy. “Alright, then. We’ll keep in touch.”
She waved at him and left the airport.
The person who was picking her up was waiting for her outside of the airport. Seeing her appear, they immediately took her luggage and opened the car door for her.
Olivia got in the car.
The chauffeur put her luggage in the trunk and got in the driver’s seat. Within a few seconds, they drove off.
Gone was Olivia’s smile as she clenched her fists.
‘Scott, you clearly like me. Why would you not admit it? Or are you saying that I’m never as important as that matter?’
Olivia looked up with a darkened gaze. If she had no other choice, she would have to look for that person.
Naomi watched as everyone in the group chat agreed to have a class reunion. They said that they would find the time no matter what, and they wanted Caleb to look for everyone.
Three years of high school was an important stage in life for everyone. It also had great memories.
Naomi was about to type a reply when a call came in.
