‘Ms. Dawson, why don’t you go home and rest for the day?” The director smiled, glancing at the reporters outside, whom security guards had blocked off. They were all here to interview Daphne.
Daphne glanced at the director. She felt ecstatic about having so many people’s support, but she wasn’t a fool.
Kirk had already clarified that he could give her resources, but she couldn’t expose their relationship.
Now, their relationship had been exposed. But since she wasn’t the one who had done it, she could stay out of this fiasco..

Crooning, Sarah said, “So, you’re finally willing to talk things through with me?”
“Where are we meeting?” Caroline asked, not wanting to beat around the bush with her.
“Let’s meet up at home.”
Hearing the word “home,” Caroline grimaced. “Okay, I’ll be there in an hour or so.”
After that, she hung up the phone and drove to the Evans family’s villa.
She didn’t feel nostalgic after being away from that place for so long. Instead, she felt disgusted at having to return there.
She rang the doorbell, and the servant opened the door.

Caroline’s first thought was wondering when Layla had returned home. Her second thought was why she wasn’t in a wheelchair anymore.

“Release a video to clear things up.” Caroline said, going straight to the point. “If you do that, I’ll let this entire thing slide.”
Layla was the first to respond. “Oh, Caroline. Who do you think you’re talking to? You’re being rude.”
“Shut the hell up!” Caroline barked without even looking at Layla. “I’m asking one last time. Are you going to clear things up or not?”
“There isn’t anything to clear up.” Sarah retorted coldly.
She’d thought that Caroline was here to beg them for mercy. She hadn’t expected her daughter to be so stubborn.
She said impatiently, “What I said In the video was the truth. Our family has raised you all these years, didn’t we?”

Caroline looked back and forth between them, and she immediately understood.
She narrowed her eyes and said perceptively, “You asked them to post that video, didn’t you?”
Layla gritted her teeth and retorted, “Slandering someone is against the law.”
Caroline scoffed and looked at Sarah and Dan again.
“I’ve already said what I wanted to say. If you don’t release a video to clear things up in three days, don’t blame me for being ruthless.” With that, she left the room.
Sarah and Dan looked at Layla. They were feeling intimidated by Caroline. “What should we do now, Layla? Caroline seems to have proof to take us down.”
Layla smiled confidently and a**ured, “You’re both overthinking this. She can’t have any proof. Besides, you worked hard to raise her, and you worry yourselves over her growth. Anyone would say that you’re not in the wrong! The one at fault is Caroline, who abandoned you after getting married!”
Sarah thought her words made sense and echoed. “You’re right. Caroline didn’t support us, and she even blocked us on everything. We only exposed her online because we had no other choice!”

Caroline’s smile widened slightly. She let out a breath, its heat making Kirk’s heart swell.
“Actually, ever since I got the information, I’ve been thinking about what to do with it. I didn’t know whether to expose Sarah or pretend this never happened, treating it as repaying her for raising me. But I didn’t expect them to do something like this.”
Taking a deep breath, Caroline continued. “I’m going to release this Information to the public so everyone can see what kind of parents they are.”
Kirk’s heart ached, and his hands on her waist trembled slightly.
“Are you cutting lies with your parents?”
Caroline looked up at Kirk, her gaze unwavering.

Kirk pecked her lips. He lightly traced her lips with his tongue, tasting her sweet scent.
Caroline felt even more nervous after seeing his leisurely expression.
Kirk looked at her with a smirk. He crooned, “Be a good girl…” His voice was breathtaking and magnetic, seemingly pulling her into the depths of his heart.
Caroline hugged his arms. She glanced at the moon with blurry eyes. She could see the moon from behind the treetops. It overlooked Caroline and the entire world.
At Pavilion, Daphne kept looking at the time on her watch. Kirk was over an hour late to their meetup.
She slowly frowned. She took out her phone, hesitating to call her manager.
