At Morrison Manor, Caroline looked at the oatmeal in front of her. “Did… you really make this for me?”
she asked uncertainly.
She couldn’t believe Eddy had actually prepared oatmeal for her. She suspected that she was dreaming. If she was, she sure was extremely daring to think he would do this for her.
She remembered dreaming about Eddy before. But the most she had dreamt of was him not complaining
about her cooking.
She didn’t dare dream about Eddy making anything for her.
“Of course.” Seeing that she seemed to be in disbelief, Eddy felt his heart ache.
“Give it a try. It’s my first time making it, so it might not taste very good.”
Caroline smiled sweetly. “It will definitely taste good since you made it.”
After saying that, she scooped a bite of it.
As Eddy had overcooked it, the oatmeal burst in her mouth the moment she tasted it. A strange taste
lingered in her mouth.
Lowering her head, Caroline didn’t look up for a long time.
When Eddy saw that, he quickly gave a tissue to her. “Does it taste bad? Spit it out now.”
Caroline shook her head. Suddenly, big drops of tears fell down her face.
It wasn’t that the oatmeal was too bad.
It had just made her think of something. She felt something stir her heart and couldn’t help but feel very
uncomfortable.
She felt like someone else had also cooked for her before. But it hadn’t been Eddy. Besides, that person’s
cooking was way better than Eddy’s.
Although the person’s cooking hadn’t been good at first, the food became delicious after a few attempts.
The person’s appearance and name were just at the tip of Caroline’s tongue. However, she couldn’t
remember it.
“Caroline, don’t cry. I was wrong. I won’t cook for you again. I’ll ask the chef to cook for you, okay?”

Caroline lifted her head to look at him. “Are you not going to cook for me ever again?”
“No way. I won’t cook for you again. I’ll let the chef make it for you. If you don’t like her cooking, I’ll order someone else to cook.”
Caroline blinked her eyes and pursed her lips. “Are you really not going to cook for me again?” she asked
again.
“No.” Eddy wiped the tears from her face.
“I’m such a bad cook. Since you don’t like my cooking, I’ll stop cooking again. Okay?”
Caroline lowered her eyes. “Okay.”
A bitter smile appeared on her face. So he really wasn’t the person in her lost memories.
Seeing that Caroline had stopped crying, Eddy signed in relief.
Then, he took out an invitation letter for her. “Caroline, it’s the annual gathering of the big four families in two days. Why don’t you accompany me there?”
Caroline replied, “I’m not eligible to attend, though, right?”
The Evans family was no longer one of the big four families. Caroline was worried that she would just embarrass Eddy if she attended an event she wasn’t welcome at.
“I forgot that you already don’t remember taking over Collins Group.”
“I took over Collins Group …” Caroline furrowed her eyebrows. The pain was drilling into her brain.
“When… When did I acquire Collins Group?”
Eddy didn’t notice Caroline’s abnormal behavior. “Just recently-” he continued.
Just before he could finish, Caroline dropped the bowl of oatmeal onto the floor with a splat.
“When did I acquire Collins Group?” Caroline yelled at him while holding her head in pain.
Eddy didn’t know what to do.
Suddenly, he thought of Kirk.
However, Eddy soon gave up on that thought.
“Carolíne, calm down. There’s nothing like that. No. I was wrong…”

It seemed that she could only feel better if she filled in the empty memories.

Eddy had no idea how to console her. “I … I’ll go and find a doctor for you.”
