The previously warm atmosphere suddenly turned as cold as ice.
Keira felt a chill down her spine. She glanced at Victor’s expression and saw that he looked murderous. Hi demeanor had turned so dark and forbidding that no one dared to approach him.
Mr. Cruz noticed the sudden change in Keira and Victor’s demeanors and immediately instructed the servants to bring the children to their rooms.
Soon, only Victor and Keira remained in the courtyard.
Keira was fearful of Victor in this state. Still, she did not want any more misunderstandings with him. She decisively answered the phone and turned on the
speaker.
The call connected, and Joseph’s voice came through the speaker.
“Kay, I’ve been missing you a lot lately. Have you missed me?” Joseph’s clear voice conjured the image of his refreshing and charming appearance as a student dressed in a white shirt. Keira had adored him so much back then.
Victor strained to suppress the rising murderous intent and turned to leave with
somewhat unsteady steps. Unexpectedly, Keira rushed over and grabbed his arm with her delicate hand.
Seeing that Victor chose to leave, Keira had a sudden idea and threw herself at him. “Torry, I feel a dizzy. Please hold me.”
Victor embraced her. His rage dissipated slightly when Keira called him ‘Torry. However, his expression remained dark and unpleasant. He unconsciously tightened his grip on Keira’s arm, causing it to turn red.
“Ouch, it hurts…” Keira exclaimed, looking at Victor with teary eyes. She resembled a sad puppy as she pouted.
Victor was helpless against her puppy eyes and suddenly relaxed his arm, almost dropping her.
“Kay, what’s wrong? Did Victor bully you again?” Joseph became agitated when he did not hear Keira’s voice for some time.

Keira leaned against Victor’s shoulder. Victor heard Joseph’s affectionate tone and wanted to leave several times, but he hesitated due to concern for Keira’s well–being.
Keira could not help but smile as she noticed this. Even though he was furious, he insisted on staying to take care of her. He was thoughtful that she wanted to kiss him.
“Are you mentally ill?” Keira brought the phone to her mouth. She glanced at Victor meaningfully before continuing, “What do you mean by bullying? What do you know about the love between a married couple?”
Joseph instantly fell silent.
Feeling annoyed, Keira brought the phone closer and demanded, “Get to the point!”
Keira glanced at Victor discreetly after she had spoken. She had to be careful not to say foul words before the man she liked as she wanted to maintain a good image.
Joseph remained silent for two seconds before softening his tone. “Kay, Victor sent people to cause trouble at my house, insisting I compensate him for the carpet and vase! You know, the Byrom family is wealthy and doesn’t lack money. Their demand for compensation for these things insults my family.”
Joseph was initially unsure, but his tone became smoother as he continued, “Kay, you know, the Flint family business has just started. While a million in liquid assets may not be much, it does affect the company’s operations! Victor is trying to force you to submit. That’s why he’s insulting me like this!”
His tone was unusually restrained. “I love you so much, and I’m willing to endure anything for
you. But my parents are getting old. They can’t handle this kind of humiliation!”
“What do you think we should do then?” Keira leaned against Victor’s chest, feeling comfortable and secure. The sun had set, and a gentle breeze brushed her face, bringing a slight coolness. She snuggled closer to Victor.
“Kay, help me this once. You can use any method possible to stop Victor from pursuing that one million!” Joseph said eagerly, thinking Keira would help him.
“Any method possible?” Keira’s smile deepened. Her slightly curled eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings. The teardrop beauty spot at the corner of her eye glowed with a rosy hue, enhancing her charm. “Does this mean I have to sleep with him?”
Joseph silently clenched his fists when he heard sleep with him.‘

After hesitating momentarily, he whispered, “It’s my fault, Kay. I can’t protect you, yet I’m asking you to sacrifice for me. I promise once I’m able to, I’ll take you away from him. I will never despise your past but will love and cherish you.”
Victor’s hand tightened unconsciously around Keira’s slender waist. Jealousy consumed him as he watched Keira smiling enchantingly at another man.
How dare she flirt with another man before me, and even willing to give herself to him?
He admitted that ever since he saw Keira again, he felt the urge to tie her to the bed. He wanted all her joys and sorrows to belong to him alone.
But now, hearing Keira talking about how she would please him to save another man, Victor realized how vulnerable he was. Even though she was with him, it felt even more heartbreaking than when he lost her.
Keira was about to burst into laughter at Joseph’s shameless request. At the same time, she keenly sensed Victor’s gloomy mood and leaned closer to him. She sneered at her phone, saying, “You should see a doctor about your delusions. Don’t ever call me again, or I’ll have my bodyguard cut off your tongue!”
“Furthermore, the carpet you soiled with your feet and the vase you shattered when it hit your head belong to my husband. That means they are mine, too. There’s no room for negotiation. You are to pay the compensation fully and not a cent less!”
Sensing Victor’s gloomy mood dissipating, Keira continued, “Sleeping with my husband is something I willingly do. It has nothing to do with you. You should take a good look at yourself and see how ugly your heart is before spewing nonsense and embarrassing yourself.”
Joseph had bombarded her with numerous messages even when shopping with the
children.
Keira did not bother to respond and promptly blocked him. Little did she know he dared to call her.
If Victor had not been upset, she would not have answered the call and blocked him outright. However, if she did not answer Joseph’s call before Victor, Victor would assume she was guilty
Sigh, it’s tough proving to everyone that I have changed!
She hurled insults without hesitation and blocked Joseph’s contact before Victor. As she was doing that, Victor leveraged his height and unexpectedly saw that Keira had named him ‘devil‘ in her contact.
Keira had nothing to say.
