When Sean and Gwen reached there, Jack and Cheryl were also there.
After Sean greeted them, he ran to the door and frantically banged on it. “Kirk! Open the door! Right now!”
Then, they heard the sound of footsteps from inside the door. All four of them sighed in relief at the same
time.
The next second, Kirk opened the door.
This was Cheryl’s first time meeting Kirk after knowing his true identity. He had messy hair and was

She really couldn’t believe that Kirk and SY Group’s president were one and the same.
“What are you all doing here?” Kirk asked, making way for them.
When Sean walked in, he noticed that all the furnishings in his friend’s home were exactly the same as
before Caroline had left.
He couldn’t help but look back at the others. Everyone else noticed this as well.
“We’re here to see you,” Sean replied.
“Are you okay?”
“Why wouldn’t I be okay?” Kirk poured himself a glass of water. Apart from looking a little messy, he didn’t
look like he was suffering.
However, the more he acted this way, the more frightened Sean was. After all, Kirk had been completely
lost yesterday.

“Why are you just standing there? Aren’t you tired?”
Kirk finished drinking his water and said, “Have a seat.”
When he said this, everyone looked at him even more strangely.
Sean advised, “Kirk, if you’re upset, you have to tell us. Don’t keep your feelings to yourself.”
Kirk looked at Sean strangely. “Why would I be upset?”
Sean was dumbfounded. “Kirk, what on earth is going on with you? You… Don’t scare me like this. If you feel any grief, you have to let out your emotions.”

Kirk looked over at Sean. “You’re pretty strange. Now that I’m not suffering, you want me to suffer again?”
“No. How are you not suffering right now? That’s not my intention…” Sean was somewhat incoherent at
this point.
Kirk looked at him, smiling for the first time in forever. “I’ve made up my mind to take Carrie out of the
country.”
His words shocked the four of them.
Gwen said, “You want to take Carol abroad? Didn’t Dr. Caldwell say that you can’t be around her?”
“Strictly speaking, I won’t be the one who’ll take her away. Adrian will.”
When the four of them heard Adrian’s name, they were stunned once more.
They found it hard to believe the love rivals were working together now
“Why would you want Adrian to take Caroline away?”
Sean said incredulously, “He likes her, you know!”
“Do you have any better ideas?”
