“Y-Yeah.” Jack rubbed his head innocently. After a moment, he remembered to give way to the other
drivers, and he hurriedly started the car.
As Cheryl watched him fumble around, she couldn’t resist laughing.
When Jack heard Cheryl’s laughter, his mood improved as well. He also felt his sadness disappear
significantly.
Jack was responsible for the wedding’s aftermath and assisting Adrian. Meanwhile, Sean would be responsible for Caroline’s well-being when they were abroad.
After determining their roles, everyone silently waited for the day of the wedding, including Dan and Sarah.
Sarah and Dan had initially planned to skip the wedding. However, they hadn’t expected Caroline to lose her memory and forget everything that had happened since she had married Kirk.
In other words, she had forgotten that they had fallen out and also how Layla had said that she wasn’t
their real daughter.
This revelation had left Sarah and Dan so excited that they couldn’t sleep at all. When they saw Caroline,
they acted like loving parents to her.
Although Eddy knew about the grievance between Caroline and the Evanses, he couldn’t be bothered with
that now. Since his attention was on Kirk, he didn’t say anything to Caroline.
Besides, Gwen had reminded him not to tell Caroline about anything that had happened before.
Once there was a discrepancy between what he said and Caroline’s current memories, her condition would get worse. He had seen it happen with his own eyes.
Naturally, he didn’t want the wedding to get cut short because of Caroline’s condition acting up.
Today was his showdown with his second uncle. As long as the wedding went smoothly, he had the right to call himself the victor of this battle of love.
In the bride’s dressing room, Sarah and Dan were surrounding Caroline.
Sarah caressed Caroline’s cheek lovingly. “Oh, my precious daughter. You’re finally marrying Eddy. I have been looking forward to this day.”
As she spoke, she shed tears. Strangely, Caroline didn’t feel moved when she saw Sarah crying.
A thought even crossed her mind-that those were crocodile tears.
