Betty was a wise person. Hence, she immediately figured out the stray cat Sean had mentioned this
morning was actually Kirk.
She was ready to watch her son make a fool of himself.
Sean wasn’t easy meat, though. He had mastered the art of knowing when to back down.
He told Kirk on the spot, “It was all my fault, dude. I’ll be sure to ask for forgiveness after dinner.”

He continued, “C’mon, let’s eat first. Look at all the dishes Caroline put in effort to cook. Don’t you want to
try them?”
Bringing up Caroline had proven to be effective every time..
As expected, Kirk walked slowly to the dining table.
From the start, he had never bothered to look at Adrian, yet Adrian could say nothing about that.
Even though they were rivals, Adrian was nothing like Eddy, who perversely kept mentioning Kirk before
Caroline.
Adrian would also never persuade Caroline to uncover Kirk’s mask, despite knowing it was the latter’s
only weakness.
Therefore, the dinner ended rather peacefully.
After dinner, Adrian posted a picture of the dishes cooked by Caroline along with the caption, “Thank you
for the treat, Caroline, my friend.”
Eddy was one of his followers, hence Adrian was certain that he would see the post. Of course, he had
done it on purpose.

Even if he did, Kirk alone would be too much for him to handle.
“Let’s have some fruit, Mr. Y.” Caroline came with a fruit platter.
Adrian didn’t feel good when he saw this scene.

Adrian instantly averted his gaze. “There is nothing to be jealous about. He can’t even show his face now.”–
“But he can steal Caroline’s heart even without showing his face. Can you do the same?”

Caroline was passing them the fruit platter when she saw the two of them whispering. Out of curiosity, she asked, “What are you guys talking about?”
“Nothing special. We’re just talking about how Adrian has been wooing a girl for years but to no avail,” said Sean, winking at Kirk, who was behind Caroline.
Kirk ignored him.
Instead, Caroline blinked her clear eyes and asked, “So you guys are sharing your experiences?”
Kirk almost choked on the piece of fruit he was eating at her words. She had also rendered Sean and
Adrian speechless.
Sean, in particular, looked even more disgruntled than Adrian.
Caroline turned to Kirk with an innocent look. “Mr. Y, did I say something wrong?”
Kirk smiled and said, “No, you’re right. They’re just sharing their similar experiences.”
Adrian’s expression darkened at his words.
Sean and Adrian, who were on the same boat, exchanged a glance. But they couldn’t tell who was more
pitiful.
At the same time, Yvonne was in a bar. She swept everything off the table furiously.
