Lia stood in front of Yoel. Her expression was cold.
She watched as Ralph gradually approached them. Then, she raised her hand and slapped him. The palm of her hand became slightly numb.
Ralph’s face darkened. Lia’s slap left an obvious mark on his face.
He stared coldly at Lia with dark and deep eyes.
“Lia…”
Coming to his senses, even Ralph himself was shocked. How could he have fought with such an insignificant man in public?
That had never happened before.
Ralph was puzzled about his out–of–control emotions. However, he couldn’t control the anger in his heart. Lia had actually slapped him because of Yoel!
Lia helped Yoel up.
She pursed her lips apologetically and said, “You should leave first. Wait for me outside.”
Yoel glanced at Ralph. Then, he nodded and left.
Naturally, he couldn’t make Ralph apologize to him. That would be impossible.
After that, Lia and Ralph were left alone to confront each other. The atmosphere was tense.
Ralph’s expression became more complex and gloomy.
Lia raised her eyes coldly. Before Ralph could speak, she gave a mocking smile.
“Looking back, why did I fall in love with you? Ralph, an ex should stay silent. Don’t you even understand that?”
Lia spoke her mind without reservation.
“Please marry Amber soon and stay far away from me. I feel sick having to look at you.”
Ralph’s face paled slightly. He clenched his jaw and stared at Lia with dark eyes.
“You hate me, don’t you?”
“Yes.” Lia didn’t bother hiding her hatred.
Ralph took a step forward. He stared at Lia intently, not wanting to miss any subtle expressions on her face. Then, he poured his heart out without hesitation.
“You love me. Just admit it. You’re just jealous. Aren’t you deliberately hooking up with other men just to make me angry in order to attract my attention?

“I have explained the previous misunderstanding to you. I can give you a chance to get back together with me.
“As for Amber, I’ll send her away after some time, if you’re really that jealous of her. What else are you dissatisfied with?”
Ralph suppressed his anger and stared at Lia deeply, wanting to see her feel moved by his statements.
Lia sneered. She was rendered speechless.
Was she jealous of Amber?
According to Ralph’s words, was he planning on keeping the both of them, with the wife living at home and the mistress outside?
Did he think that they could just pretend that everything was fine as long as they didn’t meet each other? In his dreams!
Lia really doubted herself. Why had she fallen in love with Ralph in the first place?
She didn’t want to go back to the worthless and disgusting life she had before.
That marriage was truly a pain.
Lia took a deep breath. Her calm voice was extremely cold, and her eyes were filled with hatred.
“I’ll only be satisfied if you die with her.”
Someone had to pay for her dead child’s life instead of it being written off with just 100 thousand
dollars.
Ralph winced. His heart thumped violently. He seemed overwhelmed by Lia’s surging hatred.
A bitter feeling rose in his chest, but Ralph pushed it back down.
His whole body was extremely tense. He clenched his fists tightly.
Facing Lia, Ralph didn’t know how to express himself.
Looking at the hatred in Lia’s eyes, Ralph pursed his lips into a thin line.
His eyes gradually darkened.
Lia had probably said that to him in a fit of anger. However, when it came to the matter of her child’s death, she would definitely hold a grudge against him for a while.
Given Lia’s pride, she wouldn’t forgive Ralph anytime soon. Ralph’s heart felt heavy. It seemed that he hadn’t done enough yet!
