Since the previous day, Lia seemed to have become a different person,
She sneered as she met Ralph’s furious gaze. Taking out the resignation letter and divorce agreement, she threw them hard in his face.
“Ralph Walters, have you no shame? You’ve manipulated public opinion and trending topics to slander me. Do you really think I’ve forgotten about all that?

When they had gotten married, Ralph felt a peace of mind. She was always obedient and never caused. trouble for him.
She had helped him far beyond his initial expectations.
Ralph had never seen Lia like that–angry, sharp, rational, and cold.
It was as if the little beast disguised as a kitten had revealed its true colors.
An indescribable emotion stirred in his heart. Ralph had never felt anything like this, yet he couldn’t control this feeling.
Just then, Lia’s calm and indifferent look appeared in his mind. He was terribly frustrated.
A while ago, Lia had accused him of manipulating trending topics to slander her. It shocked Ralph

It was only now that Ralph came to realize he didn’t want to divorce Lia.
Meanwhile, Amber reached for Ralph’s arm cautiously.
“Ralph, shall I find another chance to explain to Ms. Adams?”
Ralph avoided her actions and pursed his thin lips into a line. He then looked at her somewhat swollen cheek.
“No need for that. Just don’t blame her.”
Amber’s face turned pale as she put on a kind and weak smile.
“Of course not.”
A flash of panic emerged when Amber noticed Ralph’s care for Lia.
Once Lia went out, her colleagues gathered around her. They all felt sorry for Lia.
“Lia, you’re obviously the lady of the Walters family. You have put in so much effort but ended up making way for the mistress!”
“That’s right. According to Mr. Kaye, that bitch seems to be joining our secretariat. Wouldn’t that mean driving you away?”
“Mr. Walters is truly blind. How can that woman even compare to you in both ability and appearance?
Although she had already let go of everything, she still smiled gratefully.
“Don’t worry about me. I would be insane if I didn’t run away from such a marriage.”

The PR manager wiped his cold sweat and said, “An anonymous person sent us Mrs. Walters‘ information. Besides, Ms. Gray also told us to protect your son at all costs.”
As soon as the manager had noticed Ralph’s anger, he dared not hide anything anymore.
Ralph’s eyes darkened and his expression became unsightly.
“Go and pack up. You don’t have to come to work anymore.”
The PR manager begged for mercy but to no avail. In the end, he was dragged away by the security guards.
For once, Ralph had been careless. The indescribable emotion he had toward Lia grew more intense and lingered in his heart.
For the next few days, Lia didn’t answer anyone’s call from the company.
A week later, the hospital called Lia to remind her of her prenatal check–up.
Only then did she remember that there was a baby in her womb.

While Lia was in a daze, a child jumped out of nowhere and bumped into her leg,. He then fell to the floor and cried aggrievedly while covering his forehead.
Lia was about to bend down to help him. But upon seeing the child’s face, she became slightly startled.
At the same time, Amber’s anxious and worried voice sounded not too far away.
“Hugo!”
Amber ran over quickly and glanced at Lia. She then held Hugo in her arms and started crying in distress, as if Lia had bullied her son.
The crying of a mother and son attracted many onlookers.
Soon after, Ralph also ran over from the side. His sleeves were rolled up to his forearms, and he emitted a chilling demeanor.
When he saw the commotion, his face instantly darkened and he glared at Lia sharply.
Amber sobbed and said, “Ms. Adams, even if I’ve done something wrong to you, you don’t have to lay your hands on my child. He’s only two years old. Please spare him!”
Lia was at a loss just by watching her and found it ridiculous. She wondered if Amber was addicted to acting.
Right now, she was getting bored and tired of having to deal with Amber’s tricks.
Ralph quietly carried Hugo and coaxed him gently. His eyes were full of tenderness and affection for
the child.
The mix of coldness and gentleness blended particularly well in him.
Then, Ralph glanced at Lia with an even sharper gaze and frowned a little.
“Why are you here? Are you following us?” he questioned with anger and indifference.
Lia’s heart skipped a beat, and her already bad mood became even worse.
She sneered softly, “Does everyone who comes here have something to do with you? Who do you think you are?”
Hugo gradually stopped crying in Ralph’s embrace. He was indeed more dependent on his father.
Having seen that, Lia felt it was an eyesore. The thought of the purpose of her visit made her even more upset.

Amber actually tried to imply that Lia had abducted Hugo!
